Juan Carlos Ramirez | Editor 
Juan Carlos Ramirez is a journalism student at the University of North Texas. His combined passion for gaming and journalism inspired him to create this blog and magazine, providing a space to highlight gaming culture on campus and within the Denton community. 

His favorite games are: MySims, Team Fortress 2, Identity V and Brawl Stars, but will forever hold a special place for series such as Yo-Kai Watch, Tomodachi Life and Super Mario. 

As a former section editor for his school’s newspaper, Juan Carlos brings newsroom experience and a love for gaming to this passion project, aiming to connect gamers, share stories, and celebrate the local gaming scene.

From Agents to Kingdoms: a ranking of MySims games

Juan Carlos Ramirez | Editor The release of the MySims Cozy Bundle last year saw the resurgence of The Sims spin-off series that was forgotten since its last release back in 2010. MySims games have a more cartoony, chibi art style compared to the original series that is meant to be a simulator and more realistic. The Cozy Bundle saw the re-release of Mysims, the first game in the series and its successor Mysims Kingdom. Here is a ranking of the original six games, from worst to best. Number 6 - MySims SkyHeroes This race and plane dogfight installment of the MySims franchise is the most forgettable game in the series. This final game feels empty in regards to its story. It follows the same story structure as its predecessors, having the players fight the franchise's recurring villain. SkyHeroes’ story is about an amnesiac pilot who gets hired by a rebel group to defeat Morbicus, the antagonist in many of the games, and his evil corporation. How far was our government willing to go to secure victory against the Soviets? In The Outlast Trials, MKUltra is taken to an extreme in a co-op survival horror experience like no other. The Outlast Trials is the fourth installment of the Outlast game franchise, created by Motreal-based studio Red Barrels , fully released on March 5, 2024. It serves as a prequel to the previous games, taking place in the late 1950s through the early 1960s. It’s not a game for the faint of heart. There are many disturbing themes and grotesque scenes, which is what the series is known for.
